A deceptively simple question has shaped much of Kaydele Shropshire’s career.
Kaydele Shropshire has spent much of her career walking into complicated situations and asking a deceptively simple question: How can we make this easier?
Her professional journey has taken her through technology, major incident management, process improvement, Agile coaching, and organizational change. Along the way, she became fascinated by the tools organizations use to make enormous amounts of work visible, manageable, and achievable.
That question became Agilistik.
Today, Kaydele translates ideas traditionally found in Agile workplaces into practical tools for families and individuals dealing with the very human experience of having too much to do, too many things competing for attention, and absolutely no idea where to begin. She teaches through stories, humor, memorable characters, and everyday language because she believes a useful idea shouldn't require a certification to understand it.
Away from the whiteboard, Kaydele is an unapologetic story nerd. Her tastes wander happily from Marvel and Star Trek to Firefly and historical British romance. She admires performers and storytellers including Alan Tudyk, Tom Hiddleston, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Alton Brown, people whose very different styles share something she values deeply: the ability to make an audience pay attention while they're learning something about themselves.
Family life has provided plenty of laboratory conditions for Agilistik. Kaydele is a mother of three, bonus mom of two, grandmother of three, older sister, aunt to many, and longtime participant in the beautiful logistical experiment humans insist on calling a family.
She doesn't believe people need another complicated system for managing their lives.
She believes they need a few good tools, a little room to think, and permission to start small.
